Carbon Neutral University Student Society

CNUSoc is a CNU subgroup and Union affiliated student society. While CNUSoc members come to CNU general meetings and are encouraged to get involved in project work with any subgroup they choose, CNUSoc itself has a primary focus on promoting student interest and awareness of the issues surrounding the need for a carbon neutral campus and the methods by which this can be achieved. This focus on informing and on encouraging engagement and debate is delivered through events, socials, media and any ideas our members may have.
As part of CNU as a whole CNUSoc has the specific aims to:
  1. To encourage awareness within the student population using events and socials.
  2. To educate and work with students on the importance of the university becoming Carbon Neutral and the methods by which this may be achieved.
  3. To carry out campaigns to encourage the university to become a carbon neutral entity.
  4. To meet and discuss the most effective way the university can become carbon neutral.
