The UK Higher education sector has carbon reduction targets enforced on them by the HEFCE. Hence, all English Universities and Colleges have a reduction target for 2020 ranging from -3 to -54%. The University of Sheffield has an official 43% reduction target for 2020, but is currently not on track to achieve it.
